Bellevue Medical Center Recognized for Smoke-Free Campus

On Thursday, June 17, 2010, members of Tobacco Free Sarpy (TFS) presented a recognition plaque to the Bellevue Medical Center in recognition of their exemplary smoke-free policies.

Policy Advocacy

* Spoke with 15 landlords in Sarpy County to educate on Tobacco Free Sarpy, resources that we offer, and to follow-up on the TFS landlord luncheon.

* TFS member Carol Maguire spoke with staff at Papillion Parks and Recreation regarding developing a smoke-free policy.

Community Education

* Held first Landlord Luncheon to share information regarding tobacco-free policies.

Training

* Attended Tobacco Free Campuses training in Springfield, Missouri. The training utilized different approaches and resources to stream line the process of tobacco-free environments.
